I'm working in downtown Denver this week & loving the craziness from the DNC. Yesterday I was picking up lunch & saw Joe Biden, today I passed Ben Gibbard & Chris Walla from Death Cab for Cutie on my way back to the office. I was in disbelief at first & froze in the middle of the crosswalk. I didn't even think to take a picture with my phone. Tomorrow they're playing an acoustic show mid afternoon, gotta sneak away.
Oh and I just realized it's been a while since I've posted.

Both of my brothers, one from Texas and one from Oklahoma, came to visit earlier this week. It's been years since we've all been together. Even though it was a packed house, we all had such a great time. The days kinda blended together and I don't really remember when we did what..

The trip back home was busy but so fun. With all the wedding commitments I didn't have much time to spend with my friends. Chris and I spent alot of time together though, doing simple things to just enjoy being in each other's company and remember the good times.

Saturday night I went downtown & met up with my friend Carli and some of her friends for a baseball game! When I got to her friend's apt it was apparent that everyone had been drinking for the majority of the day.
( We had a few drinks then took a cab to the game. )

My mom and I have had this bet going for a couple weeks && neither of us can find the answer. In one of his movies Shia Lebouf is checking himself out in the mirror & picks at his face and says "Nope, premature". I think it's in Disturbia & she says it's Transformers. Pls help!

Lately I've been trying to get better at cooking and baking so I've been trying a bunch of recipes I find online. The other day I made some vegan blueberry muffins that were pretty good. Yesterday I made "fiber crunchy fudge cookies", which consist of brownie mix, bran cereal, a little cinnamon, and some other stuff. They tasted good but I'm partial to a simple chocolate chip cookie so I wasn't that into them. My mom took them to work and all of them were eaten so everyone enjoyed them, or they were just really hungry.
I just realized they kinda look like cow patties.. I'm going to try cherry chip cupcakes with a homemade frosting soon.

It was really nice today so I met my mom downtown for lunch. We had sushi (and edamame and dumplings yum) and stopped at a store so she could get flowers for admin asst's day. She bought flowers for me too because I'm not anyone's assistant and I recently broke up with my bf. ha Then I wandered around looking for Forever 21. I walked like 7 blocks and saw some very interesting people. It's like businessmen, tourists, homeless people, and musicians all together. I walked way past where the store should be but I'm like a man when it comes to asking for directions. Well I finally found it and bought a really cute dress and took some pics on the way back to my car. Then I remembered my meter would be out soon so I hurried back to my car but passed a meter man like a block away and had a feeling he busted me.
This little gem was waiting for me when I got to my car.
It had only been expired for 15 minutes! So now I know the meters are serious business..

Soo I had a different LJ a long time ago and thought about just updating it, but looking at all the old entries made me embarrassed and feeling so immature. I guess a few things about me since all my friends are new..
I lived in Oklahoma my whole life until about 6 months ago. I moved to Denver, CO to get away from whatever and try something new. I really didn't have a reason for coming out here and don't know anyone but I'm trying to make the best of it. I don't work right now so I mostly bum around and go downtown. I miss my friends alot.. they're the only reason I would go back to OK.
I was going to put some random pics up but I'm so old school I forgot how to do cuts. ha
